Jing Wang founded her Queens-based wholesale company after coming to this country from China in 2010. The firm, which specializes in kitchen and other household items, has grown rapidly during the past several years, aided by several loans from Renaissance Economic Development Corporation (REDC).

Wang had heard about our commitment to assisting Minority & Women Owned Businesses (MWBE) thrive in New York City. In 2012, REDC provided Wang, previously an experienced entrepreneur in China, with a loan to purchase inventory. Later that same year, we provided JCW Import and Export with an emergency loan in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. The devastating storm flooded the warehouse, forcing the business to close for a week.

After a move to a larger facility in 2015, REDC stepped in once again with more financing to help Wang expand her product selection. We have helped JCW Import and Export with its MWBE certification and provided other technical assistance.
